    Description

    DESCRIPTION: Here is a pretty neat and unusual veterinary piece.  It is a very large photograph of ..... OHIO VETERINARY COLLEGE - 1892 - FIRST GRADUATING CLASS.  The upper right shows A. H. King the Dean / Prof.  The 'trail' of nine heads are the professors (all identified) and The grouping shows the nineteen graduates all identified as well.  I'm quite sure it's all original.  The college was in Cincinnati, Ohio.  *** Great Vintage Veterinary Piece for Display *** Certainly A Rare Item - I could Not Find Another Example of One of These ***
    FYI - The 16 x 20" image is a photograph.  The photographer (who's probably also an artistic person) must have laid-out the photographs on a cardboard and created the wording like frosting on a cake (maybe with black ink) and other applied embellishments.  Then when it was all done, he/she re-photographed it.  There is nothing is raised on the photograph that you see.
    MEASUREMENTS: Image only = 16" x 20", glass and mount = 20" x 24", Frame outer = 24 1/2" x 28 1/2".  It weight 8 lbs, 10 oz.
    CONDITION: I'll say this is in very good overall condition with any wear or aging as seen.  The nominal lower side watermarks on the mount don't bother me at all. ...slight spotting there which is not mold of mildew.
    REFERENCE:  The Cincinnati Veterinary College was started in 1891 by A H King.  The name penciled on the back Hobert Ayer) points this being owned by H. C. Ayer, the gent on the lower left corner.  It would be interesting to research more of the names.  I show two items I got .jpgs of from the 'net.
